The Second Law of Thermo and Evolution
Great book and article here.
The Second Law of Thermodynamics, that entropy is increasing, points to increases in disorganization and decreases in usable energy in the universe. How does evolution explain that organized entities arise from disorganized matter? The arguments at the link are detailed and show that evolutionary explanations are inadequate.

I award you +10 on the Waste of Time Scale.
Out of personal interest, is the universe as a whole a closed system?

Granville Sewell is speaking way outside his specialty when he talks about evolution or physics.
Thnaks for your comments. I knew there was a reason I din't normally use this argument. Again, I'll let Sewell stand up for himself.
I am curious to know if you think the universe as a whole is a closed system.
My understanding is that the traditional cosmological view is that the universe itself is both closed and isolated, but in some interesting newer models, the universe may be closed but not isolated (look up the Ekpyrotic Universe sometime). Again, I've had a lot of physics but it's not my profession.
Translation: I don't really understand it but it jives with what I was told the answer is so I will go with that.
Actually, it means that I do not agree with everything that Sewell says. I posted it because it was interesting, not because I believe it is proof in and of itself.
It's good to hear from you again. I missed the insults.
